Just because the fucking guy rode a motorcycle as a weak ass gimmick for a few years doesn't make him that awesome.

That being said the dead man is a legend. Just not as legendary as Michaels.

Nothing will ever beat vintage 00's-era Austin/McMahon, especially Convulsing McMahon.

2.  HBK did the entire match with a fucked up spine that ruined the prime of his career.  This was the PEAK time of his asshole phase and he STILL put Austin over on the biggest stage and put on a hell of a show.

One of these two wrestlers made a triumphant return to the WWE and left the ring with grace.  The other pissed everyone off, beat his wife, and now masturbates on a Texas ranch; laughing every time fans chant "what" and ruin the whole fucking everything ever.

While true, the point was SCSA countering that superkick. Additionally, while the other pissed everyone off, his leaving didn't warrent this gem:

Gahh, I can't even. I know HBK was one of wrestling's most notorious pricks/divas, exaggerated his back injury (despite it being legit), did the horrible "lost my smile" shit, and refused to put Bret over on several occasions, but the body of work combined with the manner of his return reaffirmed my feeling that he is the greatest in-ring showman of all time.

That being said, for a number of years I would mark the fuck out every single time Austin's music would hit.

Not going to argue HBK's showmanship or body of work. He's a top 5 showman easy and in my top 10 of all-time greats.

We kicked it around for awhile but couldn't find a manner of execution that seemed like it would be a legit payoff. By the time we would've had that the ESPYs would've been long since out of people's minds and it wouldn't have been that funny.

We're always throwing ideas around for bits and segments.

I think if you choose to pull that bit off, you gotta do it around awards season. Shit, you have most of it planned, just need 8 - 10 really good categories.

Apparently, you think the fact he rode a bike and I ride a bike has something to do with why the phenom is my favorite wrestler. The "American Badass" era or whatever it was called when he rode the bike, and I say this as a biker, totally sucked. It bordered on embarrassing. So there. Michaels is just some pretty boy. I suppose I'd like Michaels better....if I was a woman.

And really the X-time champion thing in pro wrestling really ISN'T too complimentary. It's more about eras. The belt is the money guy and when you're reduced to giving the belt to somebody as ancient as the Undertaker it's really a sign that there's no faith in any of the roster to carry the company. Ideally a guy like the Undertaker you NEVER give the belt to at this stage of his career because he's already going to draw.

It's terrifying thinking of what the WWF roster in 1992 was like, just LOOK at this shit:

Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Sid Vicious, The Ultimate Warrior, Mr. Perfect, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Kerry Von Erich, Ted DiBiase, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Marty Janjetty, Tito Santana, Bobby Valentine, Sgt. That was pretty much the extent of my wrestling knowledge. I got the 14 time champion thing by adding up his titles on Wikipedia. I did know that he's undefeated at Wrestlemania.  

My understanding is that the WWE ain't much these days.

Ha, I jest. If the recent comments on your shows about why you do not discuss soccer have come about from some of my posts on the CCSLC thread, please know I was not serious. I was putting up a half hearted defence of the sport. Bash the sport all you like. The opinions/personalities of the hosts are part of the reason I enjoy the show so much.
